Christmas Tree Pickup Dates Set

Huntingburg (NNDC) – Christmas tree pickup dates now set for both Huntingburg and Jasper.

In Huntingburg, city crews will pick up trees to be discarded and recycled the next three Friday’s beginning tomorrow (January 6th).

In a news release City Administrator Rachel Steckler says trees must be placed on the street curb and residents must call Huntingburg City Hall (812.683-2211) and leave the address where the discarded tree is.  Residents must call by January 18th to schedule their tree pickon up.

Meanwhile in Jasper, discarded Christmas trees will be picked on regular trash pickup days; Monday, Wednesday and Friday for all residents on and south of 13th Street and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for all residents north of 13th Street.

The town of Ferdinand does not offer curbside Christmas tree pickup, but town manager Chris James says residents can discard their trees at what is called the “Co-Op” collection site on West 23rd Street at Industrial Blvd.
