Kathleen J. Jahn, 60, Jasper

kathy-jahnKathleen J. Jahn, 60, of Jasper, died Sunday (January 1) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper June 21, 1956, to Joseph and Mary “Betty” E. (Schoenberger) Rowekamp. She married Anthony R. “Tony” Jahn April 23, 1978, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

Kathy worked for 40 years in the healthcare field. During those years she worked at the Huntingburg Clinic, Dr. Thomas Gootee’s office, and, most recently, at Flannagan Plastic Surgery. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, and the Ireland Sportsman Club. She was a 1974 graduate of Jasper High School and attended Indiana University. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, golf, spending time at the farm, canning pickles, enjoying her dog Stella, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandsons Parker and Nolan.

She is survived by her husband Tony Jahn; one son, Brandon Jahn and wife, Audra; one daughter, Molly Jahn, Jasper; two grandchildren, Parker and Nolan Jahn; three sisters, Linda Mehringer and husband, Skip, Donna Schmid and husband, Steve, and Jane Siebert and husband Jim, all of Jasper; and one brother, Bill Rowekamp and wife Kathy, Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 12-7 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity School and the Memorial Hospital Foundation.
