Douglas K. Cannon, 63, Loogootee

douglas-cannonDouglas K. Cannon, 63, of Loogootee, died Tuesday (December 27) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in Washington April 1, 1953, to Harold K. and Anna F. (Butcher) Cannon.

Douglas was a 1971 graduate of Loogootee High School. He was a body shop manager for Bob Luegers Motors in Jasper. He was a member of Loogootee VFW Post No. 9395, Loogootee Sons of American Legion Post No. 120, and a life member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and watching and attending NASCAR races.

He is survived by two daughters, Amber Snyder and husband, Josh, Indianapolis, and Calley Kress and husband, Brent, Jasper; one son, Colt Cannon and wife, Kristin, Noblesville; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Lett and husband, David, Loogootee, Kimberly Williams and husband, Robert, Washington, and Cheryl Schneider and husband Lonnie, Ferdinand; and three brothers, Randall L. Cannon, Amarillo, Texas, Don N. Cannon and wife, Nancy, Washington, and W. Scott Cannon, Arlington, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
