Ray Malcolm Dixon, 76, Carmel

ray-dixonRay Malcolm Dixon, 76, of Carmel, died Tuesday (December 13) at his home. He was born in Birdseye September 26, 1940, to Mansfield and Pearl (Lane) Dixon. He married Anita Partenheimer September 5, 1958, at the Birdseye Christian Church. She died December 9, 2012.

Ray retired as a project engineering manager for Honeywell. He was a deacon at the Speedway Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Hirschinger and husband Chuck, Carmel; and two grandchildren, Whitney Carpenter and husband Aaron, Carmel, and Tyler Hirschinger, Brown Deer, Wisconsin.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Speedway Baptist Church, 2986 Moller Road in Speedway. A memorial service celebrating the life of Ray Dixon will be held at noon Monday at the church. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Memorial contributions can be made to the Speedway Baptist Church. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by burial in the Birdseye Cemetery. Pastor Mark Hetrick will officiate at the service.
