Charlotte I. Sturdevant, 75, Jasper

charlotte-sturdevantCharlotte I. Sturdevant, 75, of Jasper, died Saturday (December 10) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper April 26, 1941, to Kenneth and Kathleen (Reed) Ahrens. She married Lowell Dale Sturdevant December 21, 1979, in Franklin. He died January 30, 1999.

Charlotte was a cook for the Knights of Columbus and also worked at the Providence Home in Jasper for many years.She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and enjoyed playing bingo, coloring and watching I.D. TV.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Lynn Kluesner and husband Herman and Tina Diane Gill, all of Jasper, and Julie Renee Heichelbech, Huntingburg; two sons, David Wade Rothrock and wife, Deb, Huntingburg, and Clinton Jeffery Rothrock and wife, Sherry, Loogootee; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Faye Williams, Evansville, and Stephanie Taber, Jasper.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Christine Hubert, one son, David Allen Rothrock, two sisters, Pamela Vonderheide and Rosemary Heichelbech, and three brothers, Kenneth Zeke, Ronald, and Errol Wayne Ahrens.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or a favorite charity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church with burial following in Enlow Cemetery in Jasper.
