Southridge’s O’Brien Named AP First Team 3A All-State

Indianapolis (NNDC) – Nolan O’Brien, a standout two-way starter for Southridge’s the last three seasons, was named 2016 first team 3A All-State Defense today by the Associated Press.

O’Brien, who was also a featured running back on offense for the Raiders, is the only local player to receive first team All-State honors.

Three other Raiders also received Honorable Mention on the 3A All-State team.

They are senior linebacker Jack Michel, senior placekicker Jose Ariza and sophomore Tucker Shank who was named Honorable Mention on both offense (running back) and defense (defensive back).  Michel was also a two-way starter for the Raiders.

Southridge was the only team from Dubois County to have players receive AP All-State honors.
