William T. Mehringer, 84, Jasper

william-mehringerWilliam T. Mehringer, 84, of Jasper, died Monday (December 5) at Brookside Village in Jasper. He was born April 19, 1932, in Jasper, to John S. and Christina (Schuetter) Mehringer. He married Beatrice Fleck June 21, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. She died October 8, 2014.

William retired from Masterbrand Cabinets after 35 years of employment. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, and the Ireland Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with small engines, going on Sunday drives, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by three daughters, Christine Popp and husband Todd, Jasper, Kimberly Lubbehusen and husband Don, Huntingburg, and Vicki Ludwig and husband Jason, Evansville; two sons, Glenn Mehringer and wife Marlene, and Rick Mehringer, all of Jasper; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; two stehttp://newsnowdc.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-filemanager/fm.phpp great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lewis (Dud) Mehringer, Jasper.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by six sisters, Helen Mehringer, Leona Seng, Sally Mehringer, Virginia Jochem, Mary Lou Hohl, and Dorothy Rees, and six brothers: Bernard, Eugene, Norbert, Delmar (Bud), Alvin (Chebbie),and Robert Mehringer.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or to a favorite charity.
