NNDC & NNDC-TV Adding USI Women To Television Schedule

Jasper (NNDC) – Star Valley Productions, Inc., the parent company of NewsNow Dubois County and its NNDC-TV, is announcing the addition of University of Southern Indiana womens basketball games to its live television schedule.

“We got word just this morning from the Great Lakes Valley Conference Sports Network that we were approved to be an affiliate,” said NNDC Executive Producer Mick Birge, from the NNDC studios in Jasper this morning.

Kendyl is Kendyl Dearing, a senior guard for USI, who was a multi-sport standout in high school at Southridge.

The USI Lady Screamin’ Eagles are the second college team to join the NNDC-TV live telecast schedule.  Earlier, NNDC-TV announced it was also carrying a selected schedule of games of the Oakland University Lady Golden Grizzlies.  Oakland, a member of the NCAA Division I Horizon League, feature former Northeast Dubois standout Nicole Dodd.

“NNDC-TV was put on the air to promote and televise local events, and yes, games, and not just games of the local schools,” Birge said.

“I am so happy folks here who cannot get to Evansville or Detroit to see these outstanding student-athletes in person, can now watch them from here!” Birge continued.  “My thanks to everyone at USI and with the Great Lakes Valley Conference for bringing NNDC on board.”

The games will be televised on both NewsNow Dubois County’s main ‘Webchannel’ at www.NewsNowDC.com, or on NNDC-TV Channel 183 on Time-Warner Cable.

Birge says NNDC will announce which USI games the local channel will televise later this week.  Birge says NNDC also plans to televise GLVC post-season tournament games featuring USI.
