Kathleen D. LaRue, 85, Huntingburg and Jasper

kathleen-larueKathleen D. LaRue, 85, of Huntingburg and Jasper, died Wednesday (November 23) at the Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania June 19, 1931, to Harry Newton and Maude (Yost) Hester. She married Harold E. LaRue October 14, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia. He died November 3, 2005.

She is survived by three sons, Harold E. LaRue, Jr. and wife Audrey, Holland, Bruce W. LaRue, Evansville, and Joseph LaRue, Winslow; two daughters, Joyce Arlauskas, Huntingburg, and Rehnea Bell, Duff; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Dorthea Mundy, and two brothers, Richard and Henry Hesler.

A reception celebrating Kathleen’s life will be held from 1-7 p. December 21 at the Christmas Lake Village recreation center in Santa Claus with a memorial service scheduled at 2 p.m. during the reception.
