Toyota Issues Recall For Sienna Minivans From Gibson County Plant

Gibson County, IN (WEHT/NNDC) – Toyota is recalling more than 700,00 Sienna Minivans in the United States.

A Toyota spokesperson tells our media partner, WEHT/WTVW Eyewitness News in Evansville, all of the recalled vehicles were built at the Toyota Plant in Gibson County.

The company says there is a problem with the latch, and the vehicle’s sliding doors could open while it’s moving.

Toyota officials have not confirmed if the malfunciton has caused any injuries or deaths.

The recall affects models made between 2011 and 2016. The automaker says it will notify owners of the problem in mid-January.
