Carla J. Wuchner, 55, Jasper

carla-wuchnerCarla J. Wuchner, 55, of Jasper, died Thursday (November 10) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. She was born in Jasper November 10, 1961, to David and Wilma Jean (Sermersheim) Wuchner.

Carla was a 1980 graduate of Jasper High School. She graduated magna cum laude in 1985 from Western Kentucky University with a degree in marketing. During her college years she was a member and treasurer of the Kappa Delta Sorority and president of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. She was an initiate and president of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, and treasurer of the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.  She was named to the “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.” She had a long and successful career in the fields of marketing, sales, and photography, working across the country. Her last employment was with Lifetouch National School Studio and IRCIL (Indianapolis Resource Center for Independent Living). She was a past member of Trinity United Church of Christ and loved animals, helping people, and crossword and Suduko puzzles.

She is survived by her mother, Wilma Jean Wuchner, Jasper; one sister, Kimberly Dietz and husband Kenneth, Vanleer, Tennessee; her step-mother, Carmen Wuchner, Petersburg; one step-sister, Chery Craig, Petersburg; one step-brother, Gary West and wife Julie, Haubstadt; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her father, David Wuchner. A private family service was held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor directly to the Dubois County Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared at
