Three Women Try To Conceal; Steal Items From Jasper WalMart

Jasper (NNDC) – Three women, all from outside Dubois County were arrested for alleged shoplifting at the Jasper WalMart store Thursday.

Jasper police say 35-year old Suzanne Brucken and 27-year old Amanda Powell both of Winslow and 28-year old Evelyn L. Turner of Oakland City, tried to leave the store with nearly $404 worth of items that were not paid for.  The items included paint, slippers, a dog sweater, wax, glow sticks, a sponge, leggings, socks, boxer briefs and other apparel items.  JPD says some of the items were concealed under other items in their cart and some in their purses.

Police say the three allegedly tried to hide the concealed items by purchasing some items.

All three are charged with a Class A misdemeanor count of theft.

All three are free on bond.
