THERE WERE SEVEN REFERENDUMS ON THE BALLOT TUESDAY ACROSS INDIANA THAT WERE FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR MONEY-STRAPPED SCHOOL CORPORATIONS LIKE NORTHEAST DUBOIS.

THE ONLY ONE THAT DID NOT PASS… THE ONE IN GARY, THE POOREST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE STATE.

THERE IS NOW A REAL POSSIBILITY THE GARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION MAY HAVE TO ACTUALLY DISSOLVE MEANING NEARLY 9000 STUDENTS WOULD BE FORCED TO GO TO SCHOOL OUTSIDE THE CITY.

The Northeast Dubois referendum passed with 70% voter approval.
