Dubois County EMA Recognized For Avian Flu Response

Indianapolis (Local Sources) – The Emergency Management of Alliance of Indiana (EMAI) is awarding Dubois County for their response to the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak in their county.

The EMAI’s President’s Award was given to Director Tammy Humbert and Deputy Director Gary Fritz of the Dubois County Emergency Management Agency on October 26.

The award was presented at a conference in Indianapolis.

Prior to receiving the award, Humbert delivered a presentation about the local response to the incident.

She discussed how local agencies and businesses all worked together to get the problem under control quickly.
