Wanda J. Hilsmeyer, 77, Huntingburg

wanda-hilsmeyerqWanda J. Hilsmeyer, 77, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (October 19) at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. She was born in Washington January 19, 1939. She married Larry G. Hilsmeyer November 18, 1961, at the Assembly of God Church in Alfordsville.

Wanda was a homemaker, a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Huntingburg, and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hilsmeyer; two sons, Michael Hilsmeyer and wife Sheila, Huntingburg, and Terry Hilsmeyer and wife Karen, St. Henry; one daughter, Janna Peter and husband Brad, Huntingburg; one brother, Kevil I. Minor, Richmond, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Kriston Laymon, Jasper, Taryn Hilsmeyer, Bagersville, Jeffry Hilsmeyer, Ferdinand, and Ryan, Joshua, and Jessica Hilsmeyer, and Morgan, Mallory, and MaKeena Peter, all of Huntingburg; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel Eisenhut.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene Family Life Center, 304 N. Jackson Street in Huntingburg. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Rev. William Covey and Rev. Leroy Powell will officiate at the service.
