Louis T. Pfaff, 85, Ireland

louis-pfaffLouis T. Pfaff, 85, of Ireland, died Tuesday (October 18) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg June 11, 1931, to John and Marie (Striegel) Pfaff. He married Marilyn Huntman June 28, 1951, at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French Lick.

Louis worked as an electrician for Hulsman Electric for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, the Jasper Knights of Columbus, the Uhl Society, and was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing horseshoes and softball. He was a Uhl collector and an avid fan of the Ireland Spuds, Indiana Hoosiers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Pfaff; three daughters, Gayle Durcholz, Indianapolis, and Michelle Seger and husband Gary and Dawn Tart, all of Jasper; five grandchildren,
Kelly Eppler, Kreg Durcholz, Sean and Jacob Seger, and Audra Tart; one sister, Marge Hinkley, Arkansas; three brothers, and three brothers, Vic Pfaff and Ronnie Pfaff and wife Kim, all of Jasper, and Richard Pfaff, Plainfield.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Dolores Curry.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial to follow at a later date.
