Jasper (Local Sources) – The Dubois County Health Department is offering extended hours to provide pediatric and adult influenza vaccine.
The extended hours are on Wednesday, October 19th and November 2nd from 8-11am and 1-5:30pm.
Flu vaccine is also available daily from 8-11am and 1-3pm.
The nasal vaccine is not available.
Private Insurance, Medicaid and Medicare Part B are being accepted as a method of payment. All insurance cards must be presented at the time of service.
By far, the single best way to prevent the flu is for individuals to get a vaccination each fall. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine.
Flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination.
