Jasper (NNDC) – Stan Jochum has been presented the 2016 German American Heritage Award.

The honor was presented to the retire Jasper High School teacher Thursday evening at the Jasper Deutscher Verein’s (German Club) annual German-American Day celebration banquet held at KlubHaus 61.

At JHS, Jochum was instrumental in establishing the German-exchange program between Jasper High School and Faust Gymnasium in Staufen, Germany, in 1985.
