Jasper Police Looking For Battery Suspect; Investigating Vehicle Break-Ins

Jasper (NNDC) – The Jasper Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in a battery they say took place this past Monday (October 3rd).

JPD says it occurred sometime between 4:00 and 4:30PM Monday, the male suspect, possibly in his 30s,  was seen driving a vehicle, possibly a two-door red pickup in the parking lot of the IGA parking lot where police say the battery took place.

Police say the pickup was not the “newest body style,” but also was not “that old.”

Police also say the truck had several bumper stickers on it and at least one sticker on the rear window glass.

JPD says the side of the truck had a political name spray-painted in white.    Police say the passenger window had a clip-on American Flag hanging out of it.

Also, the Jasper Police Department is also investigating a series of vehicle break-ins in a near northwest side neighborhood.

Jasper police says the break-in occurred overight Wednesday evening-Thursday morning in the Poplar Lane area north of Jasper High School.
