Jasper (NNDC) – Two people were arrested early Tuesday morning after a fight at a local motel.

Jasper police say officers found both, a male and female, impaired after arriving at the Super 8 motel on the city’s far southside shortly before 1AM Tuesday.

JPD says both 20-year old Chelsea Pate and 30-year old Damion Pryor, no address listed, became belligerent after officers arrived.

Police were able obtain a search warrant for the room the couple was in.

Police say the room search uncovered both marijuana and meth.

Both are charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Methamphetamines (both felony charges). The two have also been charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief for causing an estimated $500 in damages to the room. Today (Tuesday) is Pryor’s 30th birthday.

Jasper (NNDC) – Jasper police are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects wanted in connection with stealing money from vending machines over the weekend at both Memorial Hospital and at the Jasper Holiday Inn Express motel.

Police the vending machines were broken into sometime Saturday evening.

The accompanying photo still is from surveillance video provided to the media by JPD.
