Local Man Injured In Southside Jasper Accident

TEXT OF STORY

Injured was 49-year old Ronnie Goeppner. Jasper police say at about 12:25 Wednesday afternoon, a commercial truck rear-ended Goeppner’s Jeep SUV. JPD says Goeppner, was attempting to make a left turn from south U. S. 231 onto Wernsing Road, but the driver of the truck, 35-year old Jordan Comstock of Louisville, Kentucky, did not see the SUV and collided into its rear.

Goeppner was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital with arm pain.

JPD says debris from the collision struck a northbound car driven by 60-year old Robert O’Brien of Huntingburg. He was not hurt; neither was Comstock.

Comstock was cited for following too closely.
