Vehicles Broken Into In Jasper’s Holy Family Area

Jasper (NNDC) – Jasper police are investigating at least five vehicle burglaries that occurred sometime early Sunday morning in the Holy Family area.

JPD says the five were discovered prior to 5:20AM Sunday. Police are asking the public for any help in the case in finding the person or people responsible. Police say they do have two possible suspects. Both males, possibly Hispanic. Witnesses say the two men were seen on foot in the area Sunday morning; both shirtless and both were carrying backpacks.

Police are also asking the public to keep vehicles locked at all times; and try to not have anything valuable in unattended vehicles.

Jasper Man Arrested for OWI; Obstruction of Justice

Jasper (NNDC) – A late night disturbance resulted in the arrest of a Jasper man Saturday.

When Jasper police officers arrived at a home in the 300 block of West Fourth Street at about 10:30PM Saturday, they found 43-year old Norbert Schreiner, Jr., involved in a verbal altercation with a second person over a moped.

JPD says Schreiner was intoxicated at the time.
