Charles E. “Charlie” Eichmiller, 79, Jasper

Charlie EichmilerCharles E. “Charlie” Eichmiller, 79, of Jasper, died Saturday (August 13) at his home. He was born in Haysville October 15, 1936, to Ludwig and Eva (Huebner) Eichmiller. He married Nancy Goodman June 21, 1958. She died August 4, 2011.

Charlie retired from Kimball Upholstery. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by two daughters, Gayle McDaniel, Jasper, and Patty Street and husband Alan, Loogootee; one son, Jeff Eichmiller and wife Toni, Huntingburg; three grandchildren, Teri Becker, Holly Street, and Matthew McDaniel; and one sister, Rebecca Altmeyer, Stendal.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Graham, Hazel Bingham, and Pauline Henke, and one brother; Donny Eichmiller.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or to Anderson Woods. Condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Church of Christ with burial following in the Haysville Community Cemetery. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate.
