Redemption’s Narrow Path Opening Holiday World Music Fstival

Jasper (Local Sources) – Narrow Path, one of Redemption Christian Church’s bands, will kick-off Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s “Rock The World” festival at 11 a.m. CDT/noon EDT on Saturday, Aug. 20.

“Rock The World” will be headlined in the evening by Dove Award-winning artist MercyMe as well as Colton Dixon, and Blanca. Other acts will play during the day, with Jasper-based Narrow Path on the Hoosier Celebration Theater stage.

The band’s 30-minute set will kick of the day of music at the park and will include five other regional acts.

Narrow Path’s most recent release, “NP EP Vol. II: Long For Eden,” features three original songs written by band members and is a taste of a new musical direction for the band. Aiming for a more dynamic and heavier rock sound, “Np EP Vol. II: Long For Eden” features the driving “Oh Lord, Hear Me,” the explosive mid-tempo “Lift,” and the near-eight-minute epic rock song “Long For Eden.” The band’s previous releases include the full-length album “And Still” and the three-song “NP EP, Vol. I.”

The band includes bassist Andrew Kieffner, of Jasper, guitarist Kurt Neighbors, of Huntingburg, and drummer Mike Weisensteiner, of Jasper. The band is fronted by Redemption’s Music and Communications Minister Daniel Ross, of Jasper.
