Mary M. Parker, 90, Jasper

Mary ParkerMary M. Parker, 90, of Jasper, died Thursday (August 4) at her home. She born in Cannelton January 8, 1926, to Rosina Horsley. She married Linus (Footsie) Parker September 29, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He died December 22, 1984.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Post No. 673 Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed helping others, gardening, and baking.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Lou Englert, St. Anthony, and Patty Parker and Helen Hasenour and husband Jeff, all of Jasper; one son, Charles Parker and wife Hien, Jasper; four grandchildren, Duane and Darin Englert, Amber Hasenour, and Brooke Parker; six great-grandchildren, Paige, Andi, Ben, Sam, Tatum, and Adam; and one sister, Dora Huff, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son; Michael Parker, who died in infancy, and one son-in-law; Richard Englert.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, The Dubois County Food Bank, or to a favorite charity.
