Owensboro returned home in sole possession of second place after trouncing the home-standing Bombers 12-3.

The Oilers scored in all the odd-numbered innings, scoring one in the first, four in the third, one in the fifth, two in the seventh, and three in the ninth. They added a run in the eighth just for the heck of it.

Dubois County scored a pair in the first inning. A Logan Brown sacrifice fly in the fourth cut the Oiler lead to 5-3. From then on, the Oilers were in full control.

The Bombers stranded nine baserunners, but managed to do so in just three innings, leaving the bases loaded in the first, third, and eighth innings.

Seven different Oilers scored and eight tallied RBIs in a balanced offensive effort that was aided by six Bomber walks, three hit batters, and
four errors.

Each team used five pitchers. Matt Walczak was the first reliever out of the Oiler pen. He picks up the win to even his record at 2-2. Renton Poole is charged with the loss. His record stands at 1-1.

Dubois County falls to 10-7. They travel to Madisonville tonight. The next Bomber home game is Sunday when they host the first-place Hopkinsville Hoppers.

Owensboro is off tonight. They take their 12-7 record to Hopkinsville on Saturday, before returning home to face the Fulton Railroaders on Sunday.
