Naomi M. Mattingly, 70, Huntingburg

Naomi MattinglyNaomi M. Mattingly, 70, of Huntingburg, Sunday (June 19) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg October 20, 1945, to Dallas and Tabitha “Elizabeth” (Eckert) Wright. She married Paul R. Mattingly June 12, 1976, at First Christian Church in Huntingburg.

She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Jasper. She enjoyed bowling, mushroom hunting, fishing, and, in her earlier years, riding her motorcycle.

She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Mattingly; five daughters, Dawn Morton and Robin Breitwieser and husband Kevin, Jasper, Tracy Jenkins, Gleason, Rhonda Shafer, Princeton, and Tina Hill, Patoka; one brother, Marvin Wright and wife Patty, Vincennes; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deana Lorraine Morton, four sisters, four sisters, Carol Selig, Mary Ellen McNallin, Hettie Nash, and Edith Wright, who died in infancy.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Condolences may be shared online at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with cremation following the service.
