Conversion; Launch of NNDC-TV Underway

From Executive Producer Mick Birge…

Earlier, Star Valley Productions, Inc., the parent company of NewsNow Dubois County announced the launching of NNDC-TV on Charter Communications/Spectrum (formerly Time-Warner).

Between now and July 1, our office will be involved in new equipment installation, new employee training, and other needed facets necessary for NNDC-TV. As you know Charter Communications has completed its purchase of Time-Warner cable and that is affecting our schedule somewhat. In fact, I have been notified that our channel position on the new Charter/Spectrum has already changed and may change again before Monday! We will announce the channel position prior to Monday (this is actually a good thing!). We’ve been working on this for more than a year now and twice over that time Time-Warner has been pursued by other cable companies, but we’re excited for this next phase in our development as a local new media company!

I believe we are one of the first, if not the first, online news & sports media service that will make this kind of transition full-time to traditional television.” Birge says in addition to daily news and sports coverage, NNDC-TV will also have a daily public affairs segment and regular feature programs.

Now our staff will be “stretched” for the next two weeks, but we will continue to bring you the latest top stories and breaking news each day during this process.

Also, starting Monday, we will also provide daily updates on our progress including a couple of announcements regarding new staff. I think you are going to like what we have planned with NNDC-TV so please “stay tuned!”
