Jamestown, NY (NNDC) – The Vincennes University men’s golf team has a more than 20 stroke lead over second-place Minnesota State Community College at the turn of the fourth and final round at the 2016 NJCAA DIII National Tournament.

VU is led by Sophomore Jacob Bartley who birdied the Par-3 12th Hole at the Chautauqua Golf Club in western New York Statemail with what may have been the shot of the tournament.

Bartley hit his drive to within two feet of the cup.  He tapped in his bindie putt.  He’s two-over through 13 holes on the day.

Bartley and brothers Cameron and Ian Weyer are all Jasper High School graduates who played together in two IHSAA State finals before continuing their golf careers collegiately at VU
