Dennis P. “Bick” Bickerest, 63, Jasper

Obit picDennis P. “Bick” Bickerest, 63, of Jasper, died Monday (June 6) at his home. He was born in Louisville November 28, 1952, to John Bickerest II and LaVerne (Mackin) Bickerest. He married Pam Tyler August 22, 1981, in Jasper.

Bick worked at Kimball Electronics as an electronic technician/engineer for 25 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, American Legion Post No. 147, and the Jasper Moose. He loved sports and was an avid Louisville Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Bickerest; two sons, Sean and John Bickerest IV, both of Jasper; one brother, Jack Bickerest and wife Nancy, Memphis, Tennessee; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Cox.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity. American Legion Post No. 147 will conduct military grave side rites.
