Paul E. Tretter, 79, Jasper

Tretter, PaulPaul E. Tretter, 79, of Jasper, died Thursday (May 5) in the St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Unit in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in St. Meinrad September 12, 1936, to Hubert M. and Ella (Ruxer) Tretter.

Paul was a United States Marines veteran and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. He was an avid fisherman and a University of Kentucky Wildcats fan.

He is survived by three daughters, Shelley Sutton and husband, Gregory, Morning View, Kentucky, Joan Wilcoxson and husband, David, Lexington, Kentucky, and Nancy Mullen and husband David, Batesville; one son, Anthony “Tony” Tretter and wife Denise, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Doris Tretter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Eunice Tretter, and two brothers, Kenny and Archie Tretter.
