JPD’s Loya Wins At “Guns & Hoses” (with VIDEO)

Evansvile (NNDC) – Jasper police officer Martin Loya won by decision his bought in the 2016 “Guns & Hoses” event sponsored by “911 Gives Hope,”  a group of policers, firefighters and paramedics dedicated to improving the lives of children and people with disabilities in the tri-state community.

Loya’s match with the much-taller Hanson (KY) fireman Kwinn Davis took place Saturday Night at the Ford Center in Evansville.

This is the eight year for the “Guns & Hoses” event.  This year’s event drew a record crowd according to organizers.

To date, “911 Gives Hope” has raised over $750,000 for local children’s charities. “911 Gives Hope” has two major projects that it supports in addition to donating to over 40 other organizations.

Those are building a group home for people suffering from Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). 911 Gives Hope is also committed to maintaining “Kids Kingdom” playground in Evansville.
