Carl Andrew Cato, 52, Winslow

Karl CatoCarl Andrew Cato, 52, of Winslow, died Friday (April 8) at his home. He was born in Huntingburg October 28, 1963, to Yulin Gene and Wilma Mae (Quackenbush) Cato.

Carl was a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company and enjoyed horseback riding.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Wheatley) Cato; one daughter, Tasha Cato and companion Benny Thomas, Winslow; one son, Zachary Ryan Cato, Winslow; four sisters, Jeanie Fuesler and husband Jerry, Huntingburg, Bonita Smith and companion Bill Hamm, Oakland City, Angela Cummins and companion Fred Lucas, Velpen, and Rebecca Cato and companion, Jim Cutler, Winslow; and two granddaughters, Nevaeh McGee and Ravynne Cato.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Yulin Gene and Wilma Mae Cato.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. (EDT) Monday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Condolences may be shared with the family online at: www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. Pastor Denny Wiscaver will officiate.
