Local Woman Charged With Three Leaving The Scene Accidents (POLICE BLOTTER)

Jasper (NNDC) – A 38-year old Jasper woman has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of three hit-and-run accidents near her home.

Jasper police say Victoria Jennings is charged with three (Class B misdemeanor) counts of Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.   She was arrested by police late Tuesday evening.

JPD says all three accidents occurred over the last two weeks just north of St. Joseph’s Church at 13th and Newton Streets.  JPD says their investigation into the accidents led them to Jennings who lives in the 300 block of west 14th Street.

Police say they discovered damage to Jennings’ vehicle consisten with the damages done in all three accidents.

JPD says two of the crashes involved parked cars and the third crash involved a fence post.  Total property damage done is an estimated $1500 according to police.

JPD says their investigation is continuing as there may be other similar accidents that have not been reported.

Huntingburg Man Charged After Police Called To Local Apartment

Huntingburg (NNDC) – A 20-year old Huntingburg man is charged with minor consumption after police were called to a northside apartment Tuesday evening on a report of an intoxcated male trying to entry.

Huntingburg police say Dylon Brittain left the apartment before officers arrived at the apartment on 17th Street at about 8:20PM.

HPD says Brittain’s car was spotted a short time later on Old Huntingburg Road.

According to police, a field sobriety test did determine Brittain’s blood alcohol content was under the legal limit to drive, however, he was placed under arrest for minor consuming.
