Charles William “Bill” Weisheit, 79, Bloomington

Bill WeisheitCharles William “Bill” Weisheit, 79, of Bloomington, died Sunday (March 27). He was born in Martin County April 26, 1936, to Lucas Weisheit and Wilmenia Preusz Weisheit Kress.

Bill was a 1955 graduate of Jasper High School, where he participated in track and basketball. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years and graduated from Regis College in Denver, Colorado, Magna Cum Laude. He spent his professional career with the Veterans Administration in hospital management.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sheila Stafford Weisheit; two brothers, Rick Kress, Denver, and Dave Kress and wife Marilyn, Jasper; brother in law Buford Stafford, Spencer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Kress and Larry Weisheit, and an infant son, who died at birth.
