Steven Alan Klem, 61, Huntingburg

Steve KlemSteven Alan Klem, 61, of Huntingburg, died Thursday (March 17) at his home. He was born in Huntingburg March 18, 1954, to Walter and Ruby (Lanman) Klem.

Steven worked for the City of Huntingburg as a wastewater technician and retired from Farbest Foods where he worked in a similar capacity. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; and an avid woodworker and fisherman.

He is survived by one son, Chris Klem, Jasper; one daughter, Kara Klem, Holland; three sisters, Sharon Keil and husband Marty, Munster, Becky Hohler and husband Denny, Jasper, and Rhonda Klem, Lake Station; three brothers, Dave Klem and wife Sandy, and Doug Klem and wife Beth, all of Huntingburg, and Kurt Klem and wife Cindy, Indianapolis; and two grandsons, Colin and Connor Klem.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish prayer vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Monday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
