Two Facing Charges After Search Finds High-Grade marijuana; Potent THC Resin

Huntingburg (NNDC) – A requested search of an apartment of a local man on supervised probation resulted in his arrest on new charges.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says search of Ricardo Herrera’s East Fifth Street apartment Wednesday found 316 grams of marijuana and 13 grams of THC resin, along with drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash.

The search was executed by DCSD at the request of the county’s Superior Court Probation Department. DCSD says Herrera was on supervised probation at the time of his arrest Wednesday which was part of a plea deal he entered into in a previous criminal matter.

Herrera is now charged with Dealing in Marijuana (over 30 grams), Dealing Hashish Oil/Salvia (over 5 grams), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance; all Level 6 felonies. He’s also charged with misdemeanor counts of Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Hash Oil/Salvia and Possession of Paraphernalia.

DCSD says also at the apartment at the time of the search was 19-year old Michelle Sepulveda and a juvenile.

DCSD says Sepulveda was not taken into custody, but will be summoned into court at a later date to face the same charges as Herrera.
