Huntingburg (NNDC) – Lady Raider standout guard Kayla Voegerl has been selected to play in the 28th annual North-South Indiana All-Star Classic.

The game will be played on Sunday, April 24th at Vincennes University.  The girls and boys doubleheader is sponsored by Hoosier Basketball Magazine and Pacesetter Sports of Terre Haute.  The girls game tips off at 2pm; the boys game will follow.

Voegerl is the only player from Dubois County to be selected for either team.

Voegerl finished her career in third place on the Lady Raiders all-time scoring list with 1,182 points.

A starter since her sophomore year, the Lady Raiders were 56-15 over that three-year span that was highlighted by a sectional championship in 2014.

She led Southridge to a 21-4 record this past season.

Kayla is the second local student-athlete to be named to an Indiana All-Star team this past week.

Earlier, Jasper High School’s Cal Krueger was named to the South All-Star team in this summer’s Indiana North/South All-Star Football Classic.
