NewsNow Dubois County Returning To Local Radio

NNDC WJPR BANNERJasper (NNDC) – Starting Wednesday, March 9th, NewsNow Dubois County will once again be heard on Jasper radio station, WJPR-FM 91.7.

NNDC has provided news for the local easy listening music public radio station for more than a year, but hasn’t been able to do since October.

“A fiber-optic line to the station we use to transmit our radio newscasts from our downtown studio to the station’s transmitter was damaged back in October. I got word this morning from the folks at WJPR the line has been repaired and that our newscasts will resume,” says Mick Birge, executive producer at NewsNow Dubois County who anchors the newscasts on WJPR.

Birge says the radio reports, which can be heard at the top of the hour from 7A to 6P Monday through Friday, will once again include local news and sports headlines and weather forecasts from the meteorologists with NNDC’s media partner, WTVW/WEHT-TV.

“I’m glad were going to be back on the radio,” says Birge. People tell me they enjoy hearing our reports and its a great way for people to get to know about the news and sports service NewsNow Dubois County is!
