Paul W. Seidl, 64, Jasper

Paul W. Seidl, 64, of Jasper, died Friday (March 4) at his home. He was born in Huntingburg January 16, 1952, to Jerome and Ardella (Deinderfer) Seidl. He married Beth Jones July 5, 1975, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper..

Paul retired from AT&T. He previously worked as the utility superintendent for the city of Ferdinand, and also worked for Jasper Stylemasters /Jasper Plastics. He was a 1970 graduate of Jasper High School, a 1974 graduate of Indiana University, and a member of St. Joseph Church in Jasper. He was a charter member of the Jasper Optimists Club and served as president and Lieutenant Governor of the club. He was an honorary Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Seidl, Jasper; one son, Cory Seidl, Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters, Ann Jochim, Indianapolis, and Christine Forsythe and husband Tom, Medford, Oregon; four brothers, Ken Seidl and wife Jane, Mike Seidl and wife Lavonne, and Jay Seidl and wife Jeannie, all of Jasper, and Gene Seidl and wife Cindy, Newburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Schmidt.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation – the Fritch/Jones Endowment, the “Save the Astra” Endowment, or the Jasper Optimists.
