Bob Edward Hill, 70, Lake Helmerich Village

Bob HillBob Edward Hill, 70, of Lake Helmerich Village near Holland, died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Chicago May 11, 1945, to Bert and Lillian (Ryan) Hill.

Bob was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. He was a U.S. Marine and served in Vietnam as a sergeant in the Anglico division. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, a successful care in sales allowed him freedom to spend a number of years in Greers Ferry, Arkansas, assisting his father in his fishing
guide business. In later years he returned to Chicago and worked for Fidelitone Incorporated where he retired. He was an avid sports fan, especially of Indiana University basketball, Chicago Cubs basketball and Chicago Bears football. His greatest pleasure and hobby was fishing with his wife Donna.

He is survived by one daughter, Tamara Beck and husband Steven, Bonita Springs, Florida; one step-daughter, Missy Cain and husband Steve, Alexandria, Kentucky; one nephew, Bert Hill and wife Allison, Minnesota; and a number of other nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife over more than 30 years, Donna (Carnes) Hill, and one brother, Bert Hill, Jr.

Following Bob’s request, there will be no formal funeral services or visitation. Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family online at
