JASPER (NNDC) – A broken gas line in the kitchen of a downtown Jasper restaurant was cause for some anxious moments Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 9:30, the Jasper fire department was called to the 514 restaurant in the 500 block of Jackson Street on the report of a gas line leak.
Fire chief Ken Hochgesang was first to arrive on scene. He says a gas line on griddle in the kitchen had broken.
Hochgesang says the gas to the building was quickly shut off and a contractor was immediately called to repair the line.
