Huntingburg Woman Arrested After Fighting With Boyfriend



Huntingburg (NNDC) – A Huntingburg woman has been arrested after police determined she injured her boyfriend early Saturday morning.

Huntingburg police say shortly before 5:00AM, a man walked into HPD headquarters to report that he had been battered by his girlfriend. HPD officers say they the man had numerous visible injuries.

Then HPD assistant police chief Ronnie Bowman and Officer Paul Lehr went to a home in the 200 block of east 13th Street where they made contact with 47-year old Rosalina Barnett.

HPD says Barnett told police that she and her boyfriend started arguing which escalated into a physical fight. Barnett told HPD the argument was over the boyfriend’s attempting to make contact with other women.

Barnett was arrested for Domestic Battery (Class A misdemeanor).
