Larry Wayne Montgomery, 70, Huntingburg

Larry MontgomeryLarry Wayne Montgomery, 70, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (February 17) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in Gibson County April 22, 1945, to Paul Montgomery, Sr. and Audrey (Uppencamp) Montgomery.

Larry was a retired furniture factory worker. He was a member of the Civil Defense and The Huntingburg Police Traffic Reserves. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Janna Boger and husband Brannon, Winslow; two sons, Nicholas and Jacob Montgomery, both of Huntingburg; three brothers, Ron Montgomery, Arthur, and Paul Jr. and Richard. Montgomery, both of Huntingburg; four sisters, Linda Sue Uppencamp and Pamela Blanford, both of Winslow, Kathy Hartley, Petersburg, and Peggy Laymon, Jasper; two grandchildren, Anika Montgomery and Braddac Boger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Uppencamp, two brothers, his twin Gary Montgomery and Thomas Montgomery; and one granddaughter, Olivia Montgomery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST) Saturday Calvary Baptist Church. Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. All visitation will be held at the church. Condolences may be shared online at Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor Rick Ballard will officiate.
