Sameer C. Mehta, 39, Huntingburg

Sameer Metha2Sameer C. Mehta, 39, of Huntingburg, died Monday in a traffic accident on Highway 231. He was born in Bharuch, CJ, India, November 2, 1976, Chandravadan and Chandrika Mehta.

Sameer was proud to be a United States citizen, working very hard to achieve this goal. He graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed at Jasper Engines and Transmissions in Jasper as a mechanical engineer and also worked at Circle “A”. He enjoyed building electronics as a hobby, was a member of the Cooking Club at Circle “A” and the Exercising Club at Jasper Engines.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa A. Mehta; one daughter, Vincenzina Bullock, Jasper; two sons, Zac Thomason, Huntingburg, and Matthew Toomire, who is on military assignment, his parents, Chandravadan and Chandrika Mehta, Bharuch, India; two brothers, Manish and Arvind Mehta, both of Bharuch, India; and one grandchild, Clark Bullock.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from noon-2 p.m. Friday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Condolences may be shared with the family online at Funeral services at 2 p.m. (EST) Friday at the funeral home with cremation following in Evansville.
