JASPER (NNDC) – A second arrest has been made as part of an on-going Dubois County Sheriff’s Department investigation.

Lt. John Anderson with DCSD says 29-year old Jordon Earls of rural Otwell was taken into custody Tuesday morning by Indiana State troopers at his home.

Earls is charged with a Level 5 felony count of Dealing Methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of Intimidation.

Earls is the second person arrested after DCSD received a tip last month of possible drug activity at a rental home in the 200 block of east 36th Street in Jasper.

Earlier, DCSD and Jasper police arrested the home’s tenant, 27-year-old Willie Montgomery after DCSD learned Montgombery was behind on paying is mandatory fees with having to be listed on Indiana’s state‚Äôs sex offender registry.

On January 25th, DCSD found a trash bag at the home that contained drug precursors and determined that methamphetamine was being manufactured in the home’s basement.

Anderson says Montgomery’s arrest led them to Earls.

Anderson says the Intimidation charge was filed as Earls allegedly threatened a female juvenile with harm if she said anything to anyone about the meth lab.
