Local Bowlers Advance To Semistate

JASPER (NNDC) – The Jasper High School boys and girls bowling teams advanced to the bowling semistate Saturday with strong finishes in the regional at King Pin Lanes in Seymour. The girls team finished second in the team standings following a 2-game rolloff. The boys team finished third.

Three of the Wildcats also advanced as individuals, Alec Erny and Patrick Huebschman in the boys competition, Mel Kiefer in the girls Two other bowlers from Dubois County also advanced to the semistate as individuals, Harlee Zehr of Northeast Dubois in the girls competition and Cole Biecker of Southridge in the boys competition.

The semistate will be held Saturday (February 13) at Championship Lanes in Anderson.
