Louise Weisheit2Louise A. Weisheit, 83, of Jasper, died Wednesday (January 20) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Dubois January 11, 1933, to Carl Walter and Barbara (Voelkel) Hemmerlein. She married Kenneth Weisheit on September 24, 1953. He died August 18, 2013.

Louise retired from Jasper Wood Products where she worked for many years. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper where she was very active. She enjoyed grandchildren, quilting, gardening, and her flowers.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Gress and husband Terry, Ireland, and Patti Darnell and husband Ken, Mount Sterling, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Kelli, Amber, and Travis Gress and A.J. Darnell, Kerri Darnell – Jones and Kenneth “Grant” Darnell; and one sister, Cleonia Mills, Greenwood.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Amos and Calvin Hemmerlein.

Friends may call from noon-7 p.m Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity. Condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastor Adam Ruschau will officiate.
