JASPER (NNDC) – A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family of Chip & Kathy Kugler after fire destroyed their home Wednesday afternoon.

The site set up by family friends Steve & Anita Lukemeyer says, “The bricks and sticks can be rebuilt, but most of their personal belongings are gone. In an attempt to help them rebuild their lives, we are asking for donations of any size. Chip and Kathy have both been very generous with their time, talent and treasure over the years, and now is our chance to help them get back on their feet. Your donation and your prayers would be greatly appreciated. ”

The Kugler family has lived in the home for the past 11 years.  Everyone was out of the house at the time.

Per Steve’s Facebook page… “As most people know, the Kugler family had a devastating house fire on Wednesday, January 13th. They have suffered a great loss. We need your help. First of all, they need clothing — women’s medium clothing, size 8 shoes, and men’s medium clothing, size 8.5 shoes. Gift cards to stores for needed items such as Wal-Mart, grocery stores, clothing stores, etc. would also be appreciated. Items may be dropped off at the F.C. Tucker real estate office at 901 Newton St., in Jasper, which is diagonally across the intersection from Jasper Vac-N-Sew.

We have also started a GoFundMe campaign to help them get back on their feet, which can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

Steve¬†goes on to say, “No donation is too small. A house fire like this leaves you with nothing but the shirt on your back. Chip and Kathy have both been very generous with their time, talent and treasure over the years, and now is our chance to return the favor. Your donation and your prayers would be greatly appreciated!”
