North Knox 48 Southridge 47

Southridge senior Kayla Voegerl went over the 1,000 point career scoring mark for the Lady Raiders with a 24 point performance, 16 coming in the second half. Voegerl now has 1,018 career points. Lexi Vieck hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 4 seconds remaining to give North Knox the win. She finished with 19 points. Southridge salvaged a victory in the junior varsity game, 30 to 25.

At Tell City
Jasper 45 Tell City 25

Jasper won 8 of the 14 matches including two with pins and one on a forfeit. Wildcat 138 pounder Ethan Wigand pinned Tell City’s Alex Irwin in :44 seconds, 182 pounder David Derr pinned TC’s Zach Butler in 5:30. Jasper also won the junior varsity match, 36 to 6.

The Lady Jeeps claimed won three individual events and one relay. Hannah Beckman won the 200 and 500 freestyle race, Taylor Knight the 100 freestyle, and Haleigh Meny the 100 backstroke. Kaylin Harrison joined Beckman, Knight, and Meny to win the 200 freestyle relay. The Jeep boys claimed four individual and two relay firsts. Quinn Dorsam and Kobi Knies led the boys to victory. Dorsam won the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke while Knies splashed home winner in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Dorsam and Knies were also on the Jeeps’ victorious 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams. They were joined by Alex Bauer and Xavier Main on the relay teams.
